We're In Romania.

Suddenly I found myself in Romania. Uninformed of what to expect, I was whiplashed with the pleasantries of Lupeni.

Lupeni is a poor area, and Romania a corrupt country. It has suffered the worst of communism and despite the circumstances, religion is thriving and I found Romania to be rich with hospitality. While there, our american group met up with another american group studying there! We also learned about an organization called New Horizons which facilitates youth to conduct their own community development projects. Currently, they are working on rebuilding their library. Kids take the initiative and follow through from start to finish.

Thank you, Romania. The weekend was restful, quaint, and inspiring.
